What if Larry Clark got really old and decided he had way too much shit in his house and needed to sell some rare stuff? Like rare photographs? Would you be into
that? Could that be real?
Starting tomorrow the Ooga Booga gallery in L.A.’s Chinatown district will be hosting an a killer event, one in which original photographs taken between 1992-2010 will
be available for sale to the general public. Many of the photos were taken during the times when many of his feature films were being shot. Some of the images are of
the stars of his films, some friends, scenesters, portriats, selfies, and even some outtakes from a Supreme calendar shoot.
“all the kids that come to my shows in thousands and could never afford 10 to 15 thousand dollars for a print (…) this is a pay back to all the skate rats and
collectors who would like a souvenir so I can die happy.”– Larry Clark
Its a unique opportunity to acquire some amazing, very rare work from one of America’s influential cult figures. Developed at pharmacies and one hour photos, The
photographs themselves will be placed in a crate in the center of the gallery in a neat stack. These colour prints are sized 4×6 in. 5×7 in. and are being sold for $100
apiece. The gallery will be open every day from 12 noon to 6pm starting January 29th and ending February 4th.
