One of the key figures in the 1970’s “Jazz Loft” scene in New York, Muhal Richard Abrams’ has had a hand in many aspects of music.
Orchestras, symphonies, and free jazz have all been touched by his genius. His contributions to music go beyond that of performer and
arranger. He was an educator, having spent much of his time teaching music at university, and on the road. Enjoy 1975’s Afrisong in its
entirety on this Sunday wherever you are.
